See, just look at me. Here's my likeness according to Eli. Crazy brown hair, green eyes, prominent nose, slightly crooked 
mouth. In addition to this portrait he drew for Mother's day, he penned a poem:
"The most important thing about my mom is that she takes good care of me.
She is kind and sweet
and she is funny and smart.
She can cook really well
and she can work with computers.
But the most important thing about my mom is that she takes care of me.

Wow. I'm so happy to hear that from him. When he says it, I kinda believe it. I am kind and sweet. And funny. AND smart. I am validated. I am Eli's mom.
And I take care of him.
And I'm ignoring the fact that his teacher probably inspired the poem more than I need to know.
